Last year was, due to the epidemiological situation, unfavourable for the implementation of teambuilding or charity events. That’s why we decided to organize a running challenge!

After last year’s successful edition, we repeated this event again this year. This time we did the challenge in April, after all, people do better when it’s warmer and the days are longer 🙂 At the same time, this year’s challenge could also be completed as part of the walking routes.

As last year, a minimum target of 30 km has been set for this call. The challenge was to run or walk at least the mentioned number of kilometres in April, with each of the participants setting their own target value.

A total of 21 participants joined this year’s April Running or Walking Challenge, and this year’s event also had participation from all three branches. Targets for kilometres run or walked ranged from a minimum of 30 km up to 150 km.

In total, we ran or walked an incredible 1,398 km in April! If we took the challenge as a relay and started it in our Brno office, we would gradually reach Canterbury in the United Kingdom!

The reward for the finalists, resp. For those who reached to their goal, there were medals in addition to health benefits.

Another motivation for our performance was a reward in the form of a charity event. So this year’s challenge was also a charity event apart from teambuilding – our run or walked kilometers were counted and for each kilometer we donated financial support to the Home for the Elderly in Bohunice, managed by the non-profit organization Naděje.

Not only do our employees support our clients there by donating Christmas gifts, but our entire company also lends its support. In return for all our miles, M Computers donated a monetary contribution to the home, which will be used to purchase necessities for the elderly.
