Hlavní myšlenkou výzvy bylo, abychom během května co nejpravidelněji jezdili do práce a z práce na kole a nejen na něm – alternativy byly chůze, běh nebo třeba i koloběžka. Jednalo se o každoroční celorepublikovou výzvu, kdy si účastníci zapisovali své cesty do registračního systému, čímž měli každý den zároveň možnost porovnat se s ostatními účastníky z celé ČR. Vzhledem k epidemiologické situaci bylo možné do výzvy počítat i vyjížďky / vycházky mimo pracovní den. Zapojit se tedy mohli i ti, kteří vyjeli na kole na popracovní nebo víkendové výlety, možné bylo započítat třeba i cesty na nákup nebo vyvenčení čtyřnohých kamarádů.

Cílem výzvy tak nebylo podávat sportovní výkony, ale zjistit, že pravidelný aktivní pohyb má nečekaně mnoho výhod a nejen to! Díky nahraným anonymizovaným datům o trasách tisíců lidí, která v rámci výzvy spolek Automat, pořadatel projektu, nasbíral, mohou města budovat cyklistickou i chodeckou infrastrukturu tam, kde je potřeba a vylepšovat problematická místa.

Do květnové výzvy se zapojily týmy ze všech našich poboček a do konce se k nám připojili i naši obchodní partneři z pražské pobočky Lenovo. Celkově bylo za naši firmu zapojeno 5 týmů s počtem 16 účastníků. Mezi jednu z hlavních soutěží výzvy patřila týmová pravidelnost jízd, kdy minimum této pravidelnosti bylo pořadateli stanoveno na 66 %. Tuto minimální hranici splnil pražský a jeden z brněnských týmů M Computers. Stanovili jsme si také i vnitrofiremní soutěž, kdy speciální odměnu dostali ti, co do práce vyrazili na kole nebo pěšky vyrazili v květnu alespoň desetkrát. Tuto soutěž vyhráli celkem 4 účastníci výzvy.

Námi zdolané kilometry tak přispěly k téměř 5 425 000 km, které dohromady uběhli, nachodili a na kole ujeli účastníci výzvy napříč celou Českou republikou. Že si nedokážete představit, o jakou vzdálenost se jedná? Je to asi tolik, jako bychom šlapali sedmkrát na Měsíc a zpět! Zároveň jsme svým zapojením přispěli k ušetřeným 700 tunám emisí CO2. Toto číslo vám také nic neříká? Jedná se zhruba takové množství, jaké absorbuje 700 stromů za 100 let!
